Eclipse Scheduling Achieves SOC 2 Type II Certification

NEW YORK — June 17, 2026 — Eclipse Scheduling, the comprehensive interpreter and accessibility services management platform built by language industry professionals, today announced that it has successfully completed its SOC 2 Type II examination. The independent attestation, performed against the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Trust Services Criteria, evaluates the design and operating effectiveness of an organization's controls over an extended observation period.

The Type II report builds on Eclipse's prior SOC 2 Type I attestation by validating that the company's controls related to security, availability, and confidentiality have been operating effectively over time — not just at a single point in time. The examination covered Eclipse's production infrastructure, software development lifecycle, access management, change management, vendor management, and incident response programs.

"Achieving SOC 2 Type II is a meaningful milestone for any SaaS company, but it carries particular weight in the language services industry," said Tyler Herron, CEO and Co-Founder of Eclipse Scheduling. "Our customers handle some of the most sensitive interactions imaginable — medical appointments, legal proceedings, IEP meetings, and immigration interviews. The platform that coordinates that work has to meet the same standard of trust that the linguists themselves are held to."

Why SOC 2 Type II Matters in Language Services

Language service providers (LSPs) and in-house language access offices increasingly operate in regulated environments. Hospitals subject to HIPAA and Section 1557, school districts subject to FERPA, courts subject to Title VI, and federal contractors operating under FedRAMP-adjacent frameworks all require their vendors to demonstrate verifiable controls — not self-reported claims.

A SOC 2 Type II report is one of the more rigorous independent attestations a SaaS vendor can present during procurement and security reviews. It allows LSPs and accessibility offices to:

    • Shorten enterprise and public-sector RFP cycles that require third-party attestation.
    • Demonstrate downstream compliance to their own healthcare, legal, education, and government customers.
    • Reduce the volume of bespoke security questionnaires they must complete each year.

    About Eclipse Scheduling

Eclipse Scheduling was founded by career interpreters and LSP operators who experienced firsthand the operational fragmentation that defines much of the language services industry — disconnected scheduling tools, manual credentialing spreadsheets, separate billing systems, and ad-hoc provider communication channels. The company set out to consolidate those workflows into a single, purpose-built management platform.

Today, Eclipse offers 16+ integrated modules — including scheduling, on-demand, projects, billing, pay tracking, credentialing, onboarding, messaging, reporting, customer and provider portals, and mobile applications — under a single all-inclusive subscription. The platform is used by interpreting agencies, accessibility services providers, and in-house language access teams across healthcare, legal, education, government, and corporate sectors.

    What Differentiates the Platform

Eclipse occupies a distinct position in the language technology landscape:

    • Built by language professionals, not generic SaaS engineers. The data model reflects the actual operating reality of language services — language pairs, certification expirations, modality (on-site, OPI, VRI), specialty matching, and complex billing structures.
    • All-inclusive subscription model. Customers receive every module, unlimited users, and unlimited administrators at each tier, rather than paying per seat or per module — a structure designed to avoid penalizing operational growth.
    • Coordination, not provision. Eclipse is a technology platform that manages and coordinates language services. It does not employ or supply interpreters, which keeps it free of the conflicts of interest that arise when a scheduling vendor also competes with its customers for service work.
    • Human-in-the-loop by design. AI is integrated where it provides operational leverage — intelligent matching, document parsing, reminders, analytics — while the judgment calls that affect end-consumers remain with qualified human linguists and coordinators.
    • Compliance as a default. HIPAA-aligned workflows, FERPA-aware data handling, SOC 2 Type II controls, and support for Section 1557 language access requirements are built into the platform rather than offered as paid add-ons.

    Value to the Industry

For LSPs, the platform consolidates the operational stack that has historically required four to six separate tools, freeing coordinator time and reducing the error rate associated with manual hand-offs. For in-house language access offices, it provides a system of record that can demonstrate compliance to regulators, leadership, and the communities they serve. For end-consumers — patients, students, defendants, and limited-English-proficient community members — it supports faster, more accurate provider pairings without removing the human linguist from the interaction.

"Security attestations like SOC 2 Type II are sometimes treated as a checkbox," said Shelby Edwards, Co-Founder and CXO of Eclipse Scheduling. "We treat them as the floor. Language access work touches civil rights, healthcare outcomes, and legal due process. The infrastructure underneath it should be held to the same standard as the work itself."

    Availability

The SOC 2 Type II report is available to current and prospective customers under NDA. Organizations evaluating Eclipse for procurement or security review can request the report through their account contact or via the contact page.
